My quest for sharing experience about the airport lounges still continues in this blog where I will be giving an insight about my experience at the Oman Air First/Business Class Lounge at Muscat Airport.
The moment I arrived at the airport, I was quickly transferred to the lounge by processing my check-in and immigration procedures through fast-track. I was very impressed by seeing the imposing size of the oman duty-free which made me feel like shopping.
It is also worth noting that the designers have done a great job at this airport by creating effective informational signage which would easily guide the travellers throughout the airport which also meant that I was easily able to locate the Oman Air First Class Lounge without any confusions.

The lounge was easy to recognize at first glance because of the well-illuminated brand signage and beautifully decorated entrance with mashrabiyah inspired doors directly facing the reception/help desk.

A deep plan layout was utilised by the designer to integrate all the wide range of facilities and amenities such as washrooms, ablution area with a mosque, buffet area with dining, bar, smoking area, business centre, shower rooms and a wellness room.

The interior seemed to have a luxurious feel as mostly soft-touch cloth materials were used for seats having lots of different configuration. More preference was given towards user convenience by integrating USB ports on all tables, recessed floor sockets for laptops and both windows and MAC operating systems were available.
The zones within the lounge were differentiated based upon the functional use of space as the buffet area was totally segregated from seating lounges but had dining tables at the centre of the buffet area.
With regards to the food, they mostly had a well laid out buffet with seven dishes mostly inspired by Asian and middle eastern cuisine. Chicken Biryani, Vegetable Korma, chilly chicken and roasted potato wedges.
My overall experience with the lounge was very amazing as the there seem to be no compromise in terms of service, facilities and amenities.
